Why did we start?
A few years ago we suffered a tremendous loss in our family. Our son AJ was very outgoing and well-known in our community. Because AJ was so outgoing he made friends with everyone, “outcasts” included.
When he passed at 22, it was a terrible shock to friends and family in our community. Many young people were deeply impacted personally by his death, and they began reaching out and seeking a deeper purpose in life.
New Family helps support at-risk-youth by helping them develop relationship and communication skills, especially within a family. These skills include life habits, decision-making skills, time management tips, financial management guidelines, and work-ethic behaviors.
We know that many young people are seeking help with how to plan and structure their future in order to move forward confidently. That’s a big reason why we exist.

In 2016 I made a wrong choice and my life took a huge wrong turn that got me incarcerated. Andy - New Family stepped-in with determination and to see me through this ordeal. That’s how I became a member of the New Family. They have given me help and support when there was no one around, they took me in after I got released and gave me a new start. The New Family showed me and taught me a lot about life and new ways how to deal with saturation. How to stay focus on my goals, and how to prioritize to achieve all that I want to be done for the future of my life.
